Groovy Triangles Vintage Sheet Quilt

Something you may not know about me is that I love looking for treasures in thrift shops and garage sales. If you're willing to spend a little time hunting, you can find some really neat items at a great price! Recently I've been thrifting a lot of picture frames, but I also can't pass up fun vintage sheets! This quilt was made from about 8 different vintage sheet patterns. To keep it from getting too busy, I alternated each print triangle with a solid white triangle (kona snow).
The back is a solid vintage sheet in colorful stripes.
I opted for simple in-the-ditch quilting along the diagonals - not fancy, but it lets the fabrics take center stage!
And finished with a machine-sewn binding.
Size: approx. 47" x 51"
Fabrics: Reclaimed Vintage Sheets
Pattern: equilateral triangles
Quilting: diagonal in the ditch

Available now in the shop.

  1. That is very pretty, I really like the alternating triangles.

  2. Very pretty. I like the slightly crinkly look even though I'm sure the sheets had been washed hundreds of times ; )

  3. Love me some triangle quilts, and this one is just stunning!

  4. Love the fabrics. Fun, bright colors. Just a beautiful finish!

  5. Oh this is a very happy quilt! Love it.
